Educational lesson program Rays & Sharks – €1.50 p.p.

This program takes place in the Roggenrif. Nowhere do you get so close to the animals as here. You will learn about slippery rays and fast sharks. Don’t worry, these sharks don’t bite. Learn more about the difference between the different inhabitants of the Roggenrif. Where are the mouth and gills of a ray? Why do some fish have bones? And the best part, you can even touch the animals during this program! Do you dare to pet a shark or ray? As a real researcher you will get to know the rays and sharks even better. Will you also become a protector of the ocean?

Conditions Rays & Sharks

The Rays & Sharks lesson program is suitable for both upper and lower secondary groups.
The program lasts 35 minutes.
After taking part, pupils receive the diploma: ‘Protector of the ocean’.
Participants must understand Dutch.
General terms and conditions apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which groups are considered to be upper and lower classes?

The Dolfinarium assumes that the difference between lower and upper classes is:

Lower classes: groups 3 to 5
Upper classes: groups 6 to 8

A school is free to adopt a different classification itself.

Terms & Conditions Lesson Programs

Only possible on weekdays (Monday to Friday) between 10:00-17:00. Not possible during holiday periods and public holidays.
The program is for both pupils and supervisors.
Also suitable for disabled people.
Multiple schools/classes can be booked into a session at the same time. Dolphinarium determines the layout.
The content of the programs is determined by the Dolfinarium.
There is a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 100 people per session.
Pupils receive diploma ‘Protector of the ocean’.
With normal park opening times, times are immediately confirmed and communicated to the school (subject to change).
At park opening with corona measures and at park closure:
- Request a program based on availability.
- If possible, the time will be determined immediately and confirmed to the school (subject to change).
Participants must understand Dutch.
