Directions and parking

Your day out at the Dolfinarium starts when you leave home. The salty sea air is ready to meet you the moment you make your way into Harderwijk. Our blue dome is famous to everyone in the Netherlands – which one of you will be the first to spot it?

Address Dolfinarium

Zuiderzeeboulevard 22
3841 WB Harderwijk

Please note: our address has recently changed. If your navigation system doesn’t recognise our new address, just search on Strandboulevard Oost 1 in Harderwijk.

Attention: important road diversion on the weekends of July 16-18 and July 23-26!

The entire N302 is closed from the Knardijk roundabout to the junction (13) on the A28.

The road will be closed to motorized traffic during the work. The entrances and exits of exit 13 of the A28 are also closed, with the exception of the entrance to the A28 Zwolle. Cyclists can use the adjacent cycle path. One lane will remain available for public transport and emergency services. To reach the Dolfinarium from the A28, you must follow the detour via exit 12.

Detour

The diversion routes can be followed via yellow signs along the road. Regional traffic can drive via the N301 and N305. National traffic detours via the A28, A1, A27 and A6. Due to the diversions, road users should take into account extra travel time of up to 30 minutes.

Work planning

The work will take place over 2 weekends.

  • Friday, July 16, 9 p.m. to Monday, July 19, 6 a.m.
  • Friday July 23 at 9 p.m. to Monday July 26 at 6 a.m.

Parking

Do not follow your navigation system when you enter Harderwijk, but follow the signs to the municipal car park on Lelykade (P2). From here it’s less than a ten-minute walk to the entrance of the Dolfinarium. A day ticket costs €10 and is only available at the parking machines at the car parks. Please note: day tickets are not for sale at the ticket offices of the Dolfinarium. You can pay with exact change or debit cards at the parking meters. Or use a parking app, such as Yellowbrick or Parkmobile. For more information about parking, please visit the website of the municipality of Harderwijk.

Would you like to know how to get to the car park? Please use the map below to plan your trip.

Accessible Parking

Visitors with a disability who do not have an official disabled parking permit (GPK, ‘Blue Card’) can be dropped off at the entrance of the Dolfinarium. The car should then be parked on Lelykade (P2). The parking spaces at the boulevard are for short-term parking only (a maximum of three hours). The Dolfinarium has several parking spaces reserved next to the entrance for people with a disabled parking permit. To get there, cross the bridge to the Dolfinarium island and head towards Strekdam. Then turn left across the bus lane towards the main entrance. The parking spaces for people with disabilities can be found on the left-hand side.

Parking spaces for coaches

Those visiting the Dolfinarium by coach can get off at the Strekdam drop-off point. It will be a two-minute walk from here to the entrance of the park. The coach can then be parked free of charge at the municipal car park Flevoweg (P3).

If you want to get to know the park beforehand, please take a look at the map.
