I bought a daypart ticket. How long can I stay in the park?

It is possible to make a full day visit to Dolfinarium again. This means that you do not have to choose for a daypart. Dolfinarium is open from 10 am – 5 pm.

If you already made a reservation for a specific time and daypart, you are welcome to come a full day on the chosen dated of visit.

I bought a ticket. Can I visit Dolfinarium any moment I would like to?

No that is impossible. Even if you have previously purchased a ticket for the Dolfinarium, you must reserve a date online. Due to the measures regarding the corona virus, the capacity at the park is limited. That is why you must register your visit in advance. How this works, is explained in the email you received from the company where you bought your ticket. Don’t just come to the Dolfinarium. Unfortunately, we cannot grant you access without a reservation.

I bought a ticket without a date at Dolfinarium. Do I still need to book online?

Yes, we cannot guarantee access without an online reservation. Due to the measures regarding the corona virus, the capacity at the park is limited. We therefore work with an adapted program to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the park in a safe way. Don’t just come to the Dolfinarium. Unfortunately, we cannot grant you access without a reservation.

I have previously bought a ticket. Why do I have to reserve a date online now?

Even if you have previously purchased a ticket for the Dolfinarium, you must make an online reservation. We cannot guarantee access without an online reservation. Due to the measures regarding the corona virus, the capacity at the park is limited. We therefore work with an adapted program to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the park in a safe way. How the reservation works, is explained in the email you received from the company where you bought your ticket. Note: you need a reservation per person. Don’t just come to the Dolfinarium. Unfortunately, we cannot grant you access without a reservation.

How do I reserve a place with the barcode for several members of my party (if I already have an entrance ticket)?

You can reserve 1 place per ticket. Follow the same steps for all entrance tickets to complete your order. These are the steps: Grab your entrance ticket and look up the barcode. Then go to the web shop via the link https://tickets.dolfinarium.nl/storefront/hotdeals/. Enter the first 16 digits of your barcode in the “Promotion code” box and then press the “Validate” button. You are now in the web shop with the right item. Finally click on “Book now”.

Can I add 1 or more tickets to my booking?

Unfortunately it is not possible to add extra tickets to a booking. Go to our web shop to see the availability of the tickets on the day of booking.

I have bought a ticket, but have not received a confirmation. What should I do?

Have you already checked your spam box? And has the amount not yet been withdrawn from your account? Then you have not yet bought a ticket. Go back to the web shop and try again

The web shop indicates that there are no more tickets for the chosen date. What can I do

We understand your disappointment. Due to the measures regarding the corona virus, the capacity at the park is limited. Given the high demand, it is possible that the park is sold out at certain times.

You can try to buy tickets for a different date. In the coming period we will slowly increase capacity to the new maximum capacity. It is therefore possible that we will increase the capacity for certain days later, so that extra tickets will become available. Therefore keep a close eye on the website. Tip: first indicate how many tickets you are looking for in the web shop. You will then only see the days on which this number is still available.

Can I be placed on a waiting list for a day that is already full?

No, unfortunately it is not possible to be placed on a waiting list.

Can I exchange my ticket for another day?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to exchange a ticket for another date.

I want to book one or more tickets, is that possible?

Check our website to see if tickets are still available.

Who should I make a reservation for?

All visitors to Dolfinarium must register their visit in advance. This does not only apply to paying visitors, but also to children up to and including the age of 2 and accompanying persons of disabled visitors. Subscription holders must also make a reservation in advance.

Can I make a reservation by phone, at the checkout or by e-mail?

Reservations can only be made through our website. Unfortunately it is not possible to reserve tickets or reservations by phone or e-mail. The cash registers are closed to avoid crowds. Order the tickets and reservation easily and quickly on our website.

Can I spontaneously come to the Dolfinarium and buy an entry ticket on the spot

No. All visitors to Dolfinarium must buy their entrance ticket online or book a visit in advance. This is not possible at the checkout. The cash registers are closed.

I have a reservation for a group (group, school trip or business event), will it go through?

You will be contacted about the possibilities within your reservation. New applications are assessed within the new 1.5 meter distance policy.

I have a coupon? Can I still use it?

At this time, all visitors to Dolfinarium must buy their admission ticket online or reserve a visit in advance. The cash registers are closed. Unfortunately it is now not possible to use a discount coupon in our web shop. We are still investigating the possibilities.

Subscriptions

What happens to my subscription now that the Dolfinarium had been temporarily closed?

We will contact all subscription holders by e-mail to explain what the new method is and what compensation options are available. Renewing subscriptions or purchasing new subscriptions is currently not possible.

I have a subscription. Can I visit the Dolfinarium at any time?

I have a subscription and want to bring a guest.

I want to purchase a new subscription, is that possible?

No, unfortunately, it is not yet possible to purchase a subscription if you are not yet an existing subscription holder. We hope to start selling this again later in the season

Measures

What measures have you taken?

We have taken measures both before and behind the scenes to ensure your visit is safe and responsible. All of these measures contribute to one of the following:

  • We provide 1.5 meters between households
  • We provide sufficient and clear information
  • We provide extra hygiene measures
How do you guarantee a 1.5 meter distance to the park?

We have created a yellow and a blue walking route to distribute the visitors. It is possible that our employees ask you to start with a certain route, so that we spread our visitors as optimally as possible across the park. A mandatory walking direction applies on both walking routes. Around the animal enclosures we have placed white markings on the ground from where you can look at the animals. These markings are spaced 2 meters apart, so that a household can stand on each mark. Furthermore, the staff at the entrance are shielded with Plexiglas and we keep our distance when scanning the tickets.

Can I pay with cash?

No, unfortunately that is not possible. You can only pay contactless with pin or mobile phone

What do I need to know about and prepare for parking?

Parking takes place in municipal parking areas. We advise you to purchase your parking ticket in advance via https://www.harderwijk.nl/parkeren/online-parkkaarten-p2_43368/ At certain times a mandatory walking route to the entrance of the Dolfinarium applies. Therefore, pay close attention to the signs on the parking lot and follow the instructions of the parking management staff.

What do we expect from you?

In your enthusiasm to view the animals up close, you might sometimes forget all the rules. Although we understand your enthusiasm, it is necessary to keep the 1.5 meter distance to other families. This means that you sometimes have to be a bit more patient, so that other visitors can also view the animals well. In addition, our employees play an important role in a safe day out, so always follow their instructions.

Moreover, we think it is important that you assess whether you can come before you travel to the Dolfinarium. In the following cases you must stay at home (in accordance with the RIVM guidelines) and you may therefore not visit the Dolfinarium: If you have (mild) colds such as sneezing, a sore throat, a runny nose, a light cough, and a fever (more than 38 degrees Celsius) or shortness of breath, you should stay at home. If someone in your family has a fever (more than 38 degrees Celcius) or a shortness of breath, everyone in the family should stay at home.

What happens to my ticket if I cannot come to the park due to illness?

Do you also do extra cleaning?

Certainly! Toilets are cleaned with regularity and employees are constantly cleaning and our staff is continuously disinfecting the contact points at the park.

Can I disinfect my hands somewhere?

Yes off course. At the entrance to the park, at all toilet blocks, at the entrances to DolfijndoMijn and at a number of other central locations in the park, alcohol gel is available to disinfect your hands.

Can I put on a mask?

A mask is not mandatory for a visit to the Dolfinarium. If you still want to wear one, that is no problem. Face masks are not for sale at our park.

Is there still first aid available at the park?

Of course there are several qualified first aiders present at our park. It is possible that the first aider wears extra personal protective equipment such as a mouth mask or goggles. In addition, our First Aid may also ask you to put on a mouth mask during the treatment (provided by Dolfinarium), or that we ask you to put the patch on yourself.

Park

Are there the normal performances and presentations?

To avoid crowds at the animal enclosures, there are no performances or presentations at pre-communicated times (with the exception of the dolphin show Oceanica). However, all animals are fed regularly and the caretakers will give a brief presentation. Around the animal enclosures we have placed white markings on the ground, from where you can look at the animals. These markings are spaced 2 meters apart, so that a household can stand on each mark.

Is Waterpret open?

Yes, Waterpret is open.

Can I still have my picture taken with a dolphin or sea lion, have breakfast with dolphins or book a program?

Because of the measures with regards to the coronavirus, it is currently not possible to take a picture with a dolphin or sea lion or have breakfast with dolphins. The educational programs (closer to dolphins and sleeping with dolphins) have also been cancelled until further notice. We will contact you if you already have a reservation.

Can I watch the new dolphin show Oceanica?

Yes, that’s possible! At the entrance you will receive a ticket stating what time and via which entrance you have to enter. Once inside, our staff will explain where you can sit. Please note: the toilets in DolfijndoMijn are closed. To guarantee a distance of 1.5 meters, the capacity of DolfijndoMijn has been greatly reduced and we use a maximum of 5 entrances to let all visitors in.

Are all regular presentations going on as usual?

No, there are no regular presentations. All our animals can be admired from the walking routes and you can watch our new dolphin show Oceanica. To prevent too many visitors from being at one location at the park, there will be no pre-announced animal presentations or feeding sessions.

Is the underwater space Onder Odiezee open?

Yes, it is open, but the catering point is closed and all the furniture has been removed. Maximum capacity and mandatory walking direction also apply.At the entrance of the Onder Odiezee there is a traffic light that indicates whether there is sufficient capacity. To ensure that all visitors can enjoy this space, our employees may ask you to keep walking. Entrance is via the staircase and not via the elevator. The lift is only available on request for disabled guests. Strollers and, or buggies can be parked upstairs.

Are the restaurants open?

Our catering offer has been greatly adapted and no restaurants have been opened. However, a number of catering outlets have been opened where you can pick up food and, or drinks and the terraces are open.

Are the stores open?

When you enter the park you will immediately find souvenir shop “De Andersom” on your right. This is the only souvenir shop open. Use of a shopping cart and following the indicated walking route is mandatory. A maximum of 1 guest per party is allowed

Are the toilets open?

Almost all toilets are open. A number of washbasins and urinals have been closed to guarantee a distance of 1.5 meters. There is also a maximum capacity per toilet building, this is indicated when entering the toilet. The toilets in DolfijndoMijn are closed. Keep this in mind when you want to see Oceanica.
